We care about our local community and make a difference to the lives of our residents.

 

Established in 2020 during the first pandemic lockdown to support and provide for vulnerable residents.  Our caring community group continues to grow and transform our local area through projects, events and festivals. Raising funds for local charities – since we started we are proud to have raised £5192 for Kirwood Hospice.   

 

EVENTS and FESTIVALS

Our 2021 Christmas Festival was another great success with lots of events throughout December.  Your donations in 2021 raised over £800 for Kirkwood Hospice.

Previous events include May Bank Holiday Scarecrow Festival weekends in 2020 and 2021 – Over 300 residents and their families transformed their gardens into amazing Scarecrow Stories visited by 1000’s of people from Huddersfield and surrounding areas

2020 Christmas Festival – Santa and his sleigh glided through the houses lighting up the area, delighting children; Christmas Light displays and Elf Trail, community Christmas tree and our very own life size nativity scene at the Ochre hole.  Proudly raising essential funds for Kirkwood Hospice and services and events in Cowcliffe and Fixby.
